Yo.

I'm trying to setup our StorageTek L20 Library/Quantum DLT8000 drive on a Linux
box for a migration off of Solaris. I've got Networker 6.1.1 installed (same
version as the Solaris server).

It's getting recognized by the system, just not jbconfig. Here's the contents
of dmesg regarding the SCSI stuff:

----------
scsi0 : Adaptec AIC7XXX EISA/VLB/PCI SCSI HBA DRIVER, Rev 6.2.36
        <Adaptec 2944 Ultra SCSI adapter>
        aic7880: Ultra Wide Channel A, SCSI Id=7, 16/253 SCBs

Vendor: STK Model: L20 Rev: 0214
Type: Medium Changer ANSI SCSI revision: 03
(scsi0:A:1): 20.000MB/s transfers (10.000MHz, offset 8, 16bit)
Vendor: QUANTUM Model: DLT8000 Rev: 022B
Type: Sequential-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
st: Version 20040318, fixed bufsize 32768, s/g segs 256
Attached scsi tape st0 at scsi0, channel 0, id 1, lun 0
st0: try direct i/o: yes (alignment 512 B), max page reachable by HBA 1048575
Attached scsi generic sg0 at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0, type 8
Attached scsi generic sg1 at scsi0, channel 0, id 1, lun 0, type 1
----------

Here's the jbconfig output:

----------
gremlin:/nsr/res# jbconfig
         1) Install a SmartMedia Jukebox.
         2) Install an Autodetected SCSI Jukebox.
         3) Install an Autodetected NDMP SCSI Jukebox.

And here's the output of mtx -f /dev/sg0 inquiry:

----------

Everything seems ok from the OS side of things. Just jbconfig seems to be
having a problem. Also, I'm running kernel 2.6.5. I was thinking maybe I
should go back to 2.4.x(?) and see if that works.

/nsr/logs/daemon.log nor any of the system /var/log/* messages say anything.

I dunno. Anybody?

Thanks all!

-Matt
