"nsrmm -C" will give you device status for all drives as well as tape
status for each:
(nothing) mounted on dlt7000 tape /dev/nst0
dlt7000 tape tape.004 mounted on /dev/nst1, write protected
- or -
8mm AIT-2 tape 010046 mounted on /dev/nst0, write enabled
8mm AIT-2 tape 010083 mounted on /dev/nst1, write enabled
8mm AIT-2 tape 000000 mounted on /dev/nst2, write enabled
8mm AIT-2 tape 000002 mounted on /dev/nst3, write enabled
"mminfo -q inuse" will tell you what is currently going on. For example,
"mminfo -q inuse -r 'volume,%used,client,level,written,name'" will show
something like:
volume (%) client lvl written name
tape.004 0.1% backup.home incr 53 MB /boot
tape.004 0.1% backup.home incr 53 MB /dev/pts
tape.004 0.1% backup.home full 53 MB index:nomad-eth
tape.004 0.1% nutbuster incr 53 MB /
tape.004 0.1% nutbuster incr 53 MB /share/.md0
tape.004 you'll see is in use, and is mounted on /dev/nts1 (see output
from first command).
Hope that helps,
Roy
