/nsr/tmp is UFS. No mount options. Have tried fsck in previous
attempts to fix this. Even umounted and newfs the volume and
remounted. Went so far as to reload Solaris 9. Problem persists.

Yep, I changed them to 777 just for kicks.

I'm starting to think this could be the NFS mounts. We've been
running for a few hours now with the NAS boxes not mounted. I created
bigasm on the networker server just to keep the tape drives spinning
for a long time and so far it's been fine. Gonna start bringing the
NFS mounts into the picture slowly and see if/when we get the problem
again.
