Well the device is as follows, /dev/rmt/tps70d2nrnsvc

So it looks like it is set for compression at the
drive (I think).

Would selecting compression directives at the client
level in addition to compression at the drive level be
causing this? would one over ride the other?

I will turn it off at the client and see what happens
but I just thought I would ask in any event.
