Did you do an inventory? They do not have to be in order.

Thanks,

Subject: [Networker] Tape choice in savesets

Hi,

I'm running networker 6.1 on a Quantum ATL M1500 library and I have 3
save
sets: SOLARISFULL, SOLARISnonFULL, and Default. I had 1 tape for each
until my SOLARISFULL tape filled up. I added another tape and labeled it
as part of the SOLARISFULL set. Networker keeps spitting an error that
it's waiting for a volume from the SOLARISFULL save set. If I mount the
second tape it will finish the backup.

It successfully completes backups to the SOLARISnonFULL
group(incremental) and then wants to write the indexes to the
SOLARISFULL group but spits out the error.

The original SOLARISFULL tape recycled the other day (I've been manually
mounting the second tape each morning) and now it will complete all save
sets because it uses the first tape again.

Any ideas why it won't load the second SOLARISFULL tape?

Do the tapes have to be in order in the library?

TIA

Ray
