Hi Philip,

I have come across this issue as well. Unfortunately when you specifiy the
"all" saveset networker queries the server and the server reports that
sharepoint is oen of its "savesets".

I havent exhausted every option yet - but - I have as well only excluded the
saveset by manually specifying the other savesets. I have carefully
explained this to the server owner - including that if they add anything
without their backup operators knowledge they will be at risk ... whether
they will remember this is another story off course ...

I wonder why he didnt want to sign that indemnity form .... :)

Regards,
Riaan

Subject: [Networker] Exclusions

I have a question on exclusions that I was not able to have answered by
looking through the Administrators Guide. I have a Windows 2003 server
running NetWorker 7.1 that's current save set is ALL. The issue is that
this server has had SharePoint installed on to it and after some research I
found that at this time NW 7.1 does not support SharePoint on a W2k3
machine. In the interim I have reset the save set to:

C:\
D:\
SYSTEM STATE:\
SYSTEM FILES:\
SYSTEM DB:\
ASR:\

My question is, is there a way to exclude SHAREPOINT:\ in a custom directive
rather then altering the ALL save set? My worry is if any drives are added
to this box with out my knowledge the new drive letter will not be listed in
the set. I have tried things like the following to no avail:

<< "SHAREPOINT:\" >>
skip: *.*

<< / >>
skip: SHAREPOINT:\

Thanks!
