The main issue is LGTpa50711, which is the inability to do a saveset
recovery for NetWare clients once your server goes to 7.x. It could make
a disaster recovery situation a complete failure, especially when you
couple it with other long-standing issues for the NetWare client. One
such issue is that selective recovery (browsing) will fail if you mark
more than N files for recovery at once. I don't think Legato's ever said
what N is, but their recommendation used to be no more than 200,000 files
at once, if you wanted to be sure that selective recovery will work.

So, even in the best possible disaster situation, if you have a volume
with e.g. 1 million files, you're looking at a "damned if you do,
damned if you don't" situation, because

- you can't do a saveset recover
- you can't do the easy but slow act of marking the top level of the
volume for recovery and letting it pick up everything recursively,
because the recovery will very likely fail because you've selected
  too many files.

Your only guaranteed recovery route is to browse and mark files and
directories in chunks less than N, and repeat that process until you have
all your data back. Error prone and very slow -- two things you don't
want in a disaster situation.

Dmitri Joukovski posted a list (on December 10th, 2003) which contained
several outstanding NetWare issues. I know there are others, because I
have at least one that wasn't in that list. The only one that really
affects the 7.x update is LGTpa50711, all the rest are problems already.
