Just out of curiosity, did you ensure that the drive is not set to
Disabled? NW will disable the drive if there are too many consecutive
errors. If you enable the drive and do a "nsrjb -HE" that should grab
the tape from the drive and toss it back into a slot.

Subject: Drive Busy error

Hi All,

I have a drive that has been rendered useless since last night's
backups.
This is the error message displayed while the tape was still in the
drive. I
have manually ejected the tape and the drive reports 'busy' when I try
to
mount a tape to it or perform any other operation on the drive. Any
thoughts?

writing, error reading: I/O error

Many thanks,
Mark
