You need one NDMP license per NAS device that you want to back up.

Is it easy to restore files? I suppose so. I use NDMP with NetWorker 6.1.3
which does not support file recovers, just the entire disk volume. Since
each NAS device has its own way of handling NDMP, you absolutely need to
read the documentation for your device in order to get NDMP working
properly. The NetWorker Administrator's guide has good info on this
subject. Consult with your NAS device vendor too for vendor specific info.

The comment about NDMP restarting from scratch if a glitch occurs during
a backup is something I too have experienced, but not often.
