(R) means readonly. A tape can be recycleable (recyc) without being
readonly, though that's uncommon.
What happens if you
- depopulate your jukebox of all volumes it might want to use for the
next backup, except for the one or two that aren't recyc when you
expect them to be
- run
nsrim -X
or
nsrim -vX
(you may want to redirect this output to a file, and then look for the
tapes in question, and see if nsrim changes the status of those tapes).
- try a backup that should use one of those recycleable tapes.
Does NetWorker select the tape(s) for use after you've run nsrim?
Do these tapes have any aborted savesets on them?
