Two things you could try. First is check out
http://www.granitedigital.com/catalog/pg09_xtcables.htm for replacement
SCSI cables and terminators. You would be surprised how many SCSI
problems are just mediocre cables. Granite Digital makes the best and
there isn't a 2nd place.

Second, call your StorageTek rep. StorageTek has a VERY close
relationship with Sun. I'm sure if you ask they could scare up a Sun
SCSI card from somewhere for your testing. Especially if you are telling
them you want to replace your Linux box with your Sun Box. Even though
you have already bought the sun box, it will give Sun the warm fuzzies.
