Solution Title: Scanner not updating index on Networker 6.1.1
Solution ID: legato17175
says for Legato 6 and we are on version 7 but thought it was worth a try.....
And it worked.....just had to delete the volumes in question, then re-run
scanner
for that saveset , and nsrck to update the clients license as follows :-
uxfmis1 (root) #> mminfo -v -m -q 'volume=Clone_Unix_213'
volume written (%) expires read mounts capacity volid
next type
M Clone_Unix_213 34 GB full manual 0 KB 3 70 GB
3672750081 47 tz89
uxfmis1 (root) #> mminfo -v -m -q 'volume=Clone_Unix_214'
volume written (%) expires read mounts capacity volid
next type
M Clone_Unix_214 27 GB 39% manual 871 MB 3 70 GB
3848448001 42 tz89
uxfmis1 (root) #> nsrmm -d -V 3672750081
Delete file and media index entries for tz89 tape Clone_Unix_213? y

scanner: ssid 3748533505: scan complete
scanner: ssid 3748533505: 19 GB, 511571 file(s)
Note: File indexes existed before ran the nsrck command below, but ran
it for completeness
uxfmis1 (root) #> nsrck -L 6 uxfmis1
nsrck: checking index for 'uxfmis1'
nsrck: /nsr/index/uxfmis1 contains 12969460 records occupying 2059 MB
nsrck: Completed checking 1 client(s)
We initially tried the "nsrck -L 7 date client" command,
that would have worked, except it was a manual clone tape and
thus the index written on the tape didn't know about itself...doh!!!
----------- original question -----------
Hi
We are trying to recover the index and media files for a certain save set. This
save set spans over two tapes. The scanner -i command recovers all file indexes
except for this save set that spans the two tapes.
When I run the command/s below, it says that it completes ok but when you
browse for the save set it does not exist.
scanner -i /dev/ntape/tape5
scanner -i -S ?SSID /dev/ntape/tape5
Does anyone have any ideas on how to recover this save set?
Thank you for your help
