How long were your backups running for ? Were there any indices saved
before
you stopped your backups ?

The nsrck -R -Y should have deleted all your indices that existed on your
(new) backup server.

If there were no indices saved then nsrck -L7 should restore all old index
data from your previous backup server. If there were indices saved then you
will have to use the -t option on the nsrck -L7 to ensure you restore the
indices that were saved on your old backup server.

>>also how long does it take to run nsrck -L7 for about 35 clients?

how long is a piece of string ??? How big are the indices ? what tape
hardware are you using to restore the indices ?

Hi I just moved our backup server to a new machine
i did a mmrecov and then a nsrck -L7
while the nsrck -L7 was running somebackups started , i then canceled them
after some data got backed up
i also canceled the nsrck -L7, then ran a nsrck -R -Y
Im now running a nsrck -L7 again

will this recover all my old data from all clients?

also how long does it take to run nsrck -L7 for about 35 clients?

thank you,

Evan
