Perhaps something like:

<< "C:" >>
        +skip: ~snapshot

Give it the actual letter of the drive where the ~snapshot directory is
located.

original post:

Hi All,
I read about directives but cant seem to get this working.

I am trying to create a directive on my legato server to exclude the
"~snapshot" folder and all its subfolders from being backed up.

This is for a MS windows filesystem.

I created this directive, and assigned it to my client, but it still
does a backup of the ~snapshot folder, any ideas?

thanks in advance, here is what i created:

<<"/">>
+skip: ~snapshot
