2004-01-19 10:18:49
Hi Cyril,
perhaps you select too many level of backup for your pool, cause NW use
always only level 9 to save index and
maybe with your setting
Can you try to do your pool to store index in this way:
Pool Name: What you want
Device: select your preferite
Save set: index
Level: 9

Oggetto: [Networker] index save problem
Hello to All!
I've got a problem setting Networker (6.1.1) to store
client indexes on the separate pool. All I need is to store
all client's data (incremental and full backups according
to the schedule) and client's indexes to another device
(remote node) and another pool.
I've installed new device (hp autoloader), made new pool and
connected this new device with this new pool. I switched off
default device for this pool (/dev/rmt/0cbn) and switched on
new device: hostname:/dev/rmt/5cbn as I want to make backups
of this pool only to that device. Also I checked on levels
9, incr, and full for this pool to store indexes.
But damn, Networker still wants tape for Default pool or can't
find storage device...
Could you help me somehow?
Regards,
Cyril.
