Matthew,

What size library?

What type of tape drives?

Since I'm assuming toward the small side, then either vendor should be
able to provide you an excellent solution.

My company's used STK for quite some time. The products have ranged from
a 20-slot library to a 6,000-slot silo. We have a 9310, 9710s, 9714s,
L80s, L40s and L20s.

The fact some of these libraries are approaching a decade of use should
attest to the reliability.

I also consider STK's support to be at the top of the heap.

Dale

We are looking at purchasing a new tape library system for our NDMP
NetApp backups. We have been looking at both ADIC and StorageTek. I was
wondering if anyone has any feedback regarding either of their
reliability and support. Both are enterprise library providers with good
reputation, but I was hoping for some personal experience from some on
this list given the cost of either solution.
