The 6.1.4 point release has been out a few weeks, and the release notes
indicate that it fixes a giant horde of bugs, including some that have
been around for a long, long time.  I don't recall seeing anything in
the list of fixed bugs that seems directly related to George's issues,
though.

If you don't have to back up any NetWare clients, 7.1 sounds like it's
pretty stable.  If you have NetWare clients, LGTpa50711 is kind of a
show-stopper.
