The strings and grep shows the following:
QUANTUM SDLT320
Quantum Super DLT 320

Good so far...

yes, tried the default (mt status) and mt -f /dev/rmt/0cbn, both yield same
results of "Exabyte Mammoth2"

I set it to SDLT (as I recall) but need SDLT320 to get 160GB capacity.
SDLT320 not showing up as a drop down menu item via nwadmin
