Hi,

As far as I can remember the "thumbsuck" rule is 15% minimum and 20%
preferable FREE disk space on average for snapshot. (meaning if you have a
1TB volume you need at least 150GB somewhere free).

I remember there are some restrictions on the actual volume that you want to
put your snapshot target on as well... (volume type etc).

We (or clients of ours) have had quite some "issues" with Groupwise and
snapshot (they have a 300GB Groupwise server), so much so that they have now
fallen back onto the Open File Manager from Legato and arent using snapshot
anymore ... They still use it one quite a few of their other servers though
...

Regards,
Riaan

We are testing Networker on some of our Netware servers and have run into an
issue on backing up large volumes.

We are currently using the Networker Client for Netware v4.21 (snapshot.nlm
v4.12). Where can I find out what the space requirments are for using
snapshot with Netware and has anyone run into difficulties using this
product with Groupwise?

Thanks,

Mary
