We have 5 Scalar 1000's -
        nw3 621A.00001 DLT8000 drives and 2 FCR250 routers
        tlm 601A.00001 DLT8000 drives and FCR250 router
        mse 621A.00001 LTO-1 drives and SNC3100 router
        bc 621A.00001 LTO-1 drives and SNC3100 router
        hbr 621A.00001 LTO-1 drives and SNC5100 router

thanks - John

We have a similar setup as yours but our timers are not set anywhere
close to yours.

Eject 20
Cleaning 60
Unload 20
Load 20
Polling 3
Deposit 15
Withdrawal 15
Idle timeout 10

Another item to check is the firmware version loaded on the Scalar 1000.
We have two Scalar 1000s. The one that gives us less fits is version
3.00. The other one is at version 6.1.

Anyone have an idea what our problem might be?

We have an ADIC Scalar 1000 tape library using 2 FCR250's on a SAN.
One Solaris box is the NetWorker server and 3 other Solaris systems are
storage nodes.
Each of the 4 systems is on the SAN with a single HBA (all emulex
LP8000's) and we use persistent binding.

We continue to see unload failures of drives in the nw3 tape-library.
And we've set the timers for the jukebox as follows:
                Eject sleep 120
                Cleaning delay 300
                Unload Sleep 60
                Load Sleep 60
                Port polling period 3
                Deposit timeout 15
                Withdraw timeout 15
                Idle device timeout 10
