Hi fellow networkers:-

Bit of an issue that I am currently having:-

We have one saveset on a Windows 2000 cluster (EMC SYMETRIX SAN)which fails to
go through on a full. The data is only 38gb of flat files and in theory
should only tak a max time of 7 - 8 hrs.

Other areas on the same cluster disk do backup but they are by no means the
same sort of size. other than one which is 20gb and also failed on a test.

The only thing that i could think of as the problem is that we do have a got
long directory and filename lengths we for some reason are pushing the limits
at up to 256... however that said an area of the disk that we tested (20gb) the
structure is of normal lengths.

The file cluster is currently backed up across a 10/100 network going to a dual
p3 733 dedicated server with 256mb of RAM and a atl 7100 library running dual
dlt 7000's. The server is Windows 2000 service pack 3 and the legato Networker
is version 6.1.

Has anyone got any clues I think I've out enough info down but of course if you
need anymore let me know.

Your help as always would be very much appricated.
