Sounds like it is related to your SCSI device or driver. What are you
using in the server to attach to the library?

Subject: [Networker] URGENT HELP on jbconfig

Hello All,

We have a new backup server and we are trying to install the jukebox
(STK 9714 with 6 DLT 7000 drive), as soon as we run 'jbconfig' the
server initiates a system dump and reboots. Same thing also happens when
we run the 'inquire' command.
Can somebody tell if this is an hardware of software issue?

Environment: Unix-AIX 5.2
NetWorker: v6.1.3
Tape Libray: STK 9714

Thanks in advance,

Gary,
I believe the unwanted file will not be restored. You would only
perform one
restore setting the browse time after the completion of Wednesdays
incremental
The list of files presented for restore will look the way the disk did
after
Wednesdays backup thus the file will not be in the list. If you find
this not
to be true let me know.

Subject: [Networker] Procedure for recoving a crashed disk

Greetings,

I have been asked to verify the process of recovering a failed disk.
Supposed we do a full backup on Sunday, and incrs on Monday and
Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the disk fails.

I would think that during the recover, setting the browse time for
Wendesday,
Networker would take what it needed from the full and the 2 incs.
However,
the question was asked about what happens if a unwanted file was
deleted
on Sunday after the full. Is there a way Newtworker would know that
the
file was delete and recovery is not wanted?

Thanks in advance.
