I'm trying to scan some old DLT2000 tapes from a previous installation of
Networker. I believe that the old tapes were created on Solaris 2.51 system
running Networker 5.x. The current installation of Networker is 6.12
running on Solaris 8. The current tape is NOT the original hardware used
when the savesets were created.

It would be useful if you said what the current hardware is, rather than
what it isn't!

The following is the error I'm seeing:

# scanner -n /dev/rmt/1n
scanner: scanning dlt tape Weekly.001 on /dev/rmt/1n
scanner: fn 2 rn 0 read error Not enough space
scanner: fn 2 rn 0 read error Not enough space
scanner: done with dlt tape Weekly.001

This is most certainly a block size issue.
