I've been running with this savegrp patch for several weeks without any
problem. I'm only backing up 1 2K3 client right now, but it works fine.

There is a fix (for savegrp bin) to allow nsr 7.x clients
to be backuped by 613 servers.

You can just replace savegrp binary and keep your
server running 613.

I'm interested as well. I am running Networker 6.1.3 on Windows 2000 at my
remote sites and will be seeing Windows 2003 clients.

At my site, I run Networker 6.1.3 on Solaris 7 and it has been suggested I
go 7.1 due to our new Windows 2003 servers. There was some discussion about
a patch for 6.1.3 but I have not been able to confirm this.

For the Solaris folks; it was recommended I upgrade Solaris. Instead of
going to 8 should I jump to 9? It appears to be supported with 7.1.

TIA

Will someone from Legato verify this or deny it. My company will be
migrating to Windows 2003, but this can stop the networker migration.

, since
it
has problems backing up and restoring directories with some special
characters in it, such as å ä ö ü etc. Quite a hassle for some of us
that
have these characters in our directory names / languages.
