Hi Joel,

In my case I always install rather than upgrade solaris.
All our legato indexes and configuration files are on a separate disk so I
take that out or disconnect that. I then reinstall Solaris, install all
patches and install networker again.
After all works properly wihout a license for now and without my old
indexes or resources I remount the old configuration data,( basically
/var/nsr/ and descendants ) and any scripts that I need (they are also on
separate disks).

Be aware of changes in /kernel/drv/st.conf due to the reinstall and patches
so save a copy of it before. And any changes to /etc/system that you may
have made.

Good Luck,
maarten

Hey All,

I'm getting prepared to upgrade the OS on my Networker Server and I was
wondering if networker will need to be uninstalled and then reinstalled
after the upgrade? Any gotchas to watch out for from people who have
gone through this upgrade?

E450

Solaris 2.6

Solstice Backup 6.1.3

Thanks,

Joel
