7.1 was released this week.

I'm looking on the archives and not seeing much activity related to
upgrading from 6x to 7x. I'm on Networker 6.1.3/Solaris 7 at my site and
Networker 6.1.3/Windows 2000 servers at my remote sites. We are considering
the disk extender product and are beginning to see 2003 servers in the mix
so I'm motivated to upgrade to 7.1.

I think that a lot of people are fairly happy with 6.1.3 or other recent
6.1.x versions. IMHO 6.1.3 is the best version yet - OK there are
still plenty bugs lurking, but many serious ones have been fixed. I
don't think a lot of people feel the need to make the small jump to 7.x yet.

At my current client, there are still 40+ NetWorker servers running on
NT4. NetWorker 7 is not an option for these - so 6.1.3/6.1.4 will be the
end of the line until the company takes the plunge with Windows 2003.

I noticed yesterday that the 7.1 feature list includes a new jbedit
command. This is long awaited and will be welcome in environments with
large shared jukeboxes, particularly if they use DDS. Keep 'em coming
Legato!
