We are planning to upgrade Networker from v5.5 to v6.1.3
What keeps us from moving on is the conversion of indexes. To upgrade
all the old client index to the new version will probably take overnight
and we cannot schedule any backup to run during this conversion.

We installed Legato NW 6.1.3 to a test server with more processing
power and memory (IBM pSeries 6H0) and copied/TAR the indexes from our
current backup server to speed up the index conversion. Due to the
number of clients and some big index files, the conversion might take
overnight.
Can we upgrade Networker on the original/current backup server and run
the scheduled backups and when the backups are done in the morning, can
we merged these saveset with the converted indexes on the test server?
