To get the virtual node to back up under it's own index, put the following
command in the backup command field of the client definition:

  save -c virtual_client_name

This will force the backup to save it's index under the virtual node's name.

Subject: [Networker] Cluster backup problem

Hi all.

Running 6.0.2 on Win2K server (Ya, I know it's old).

I have the appropriate cluster licensing. I am also successfully backing
up an Exchange cluster.

I have 3 clients defined. The two logical and the virtual. Each has All
selected for Save Set in client def'n.

The two logical clients backup just fine.

However, the virtual only backs up the Q: drive. Rather than backing up
the virtual disks, Legato does another full save of the logical client
that is the cluster master. Rather than doing a small incremental, I get
a 90Gb full save each day.

Incremental Example:
Logical master and logical slave backup fine. Incremental starts on
virtual and backups up Q:. Legato then does a full save on logical master
as no full saves can be found for virtual.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
