I'm not concerned about when the tape itself is ready to be recycled,
but when the volume label expires, and the tape needs to be relabeled
before it can be reused.

Volexp in ver 5 gave the volume expiration, had nothing to do with
savesets. From what I have seen when volumes are labeled they are given
a 2 year volume expiration, and as long as they are used its ok, but
when the tape is in recycle status, and the volume expire kicks in the
tape doesn't show up as a useable scratch tape.

Hi,

you would still run mminfo. "volretent" gives you the date on the volume
that the last saveset expires...

something like:

mminfo -s servername -r "client,volume,volretent"

Anyone know how to pull volume expiration from a Legato 6 server. In 5
we had a volexp query against mminfo. The reason why I am looking for
this, is that we are having tapes become unavailable because the volumes
are expiring, and I would like to script this so we know when tapes need
to be relabeled.
