What Tape-Drive Driver(s) are being used for the following situation:
Solaris 9 on an Ultra-10 Sun box
Emulex LP8000 HBA into Brocade switches
ADIC Scalar 1000 library with IBM ULTRIUM LTO-1 tape-drives

Note: We are also configuring a Windows 2003 Server to access the
tape-drives as we'll be using DDS (The sun box will be the NetWorker server and
the Win2k3 will be one of the storage nodes)

On the Sun box we currently have:
                Emulex LP8000 with 3.90A7 Firmware
                Emulex Driver version 5.01e
                IBMtape driver version 4.0.7.7

And results of an inquire shows:

So what tape driver options do we have?

thanks - John

There was a file called networkr.cfg with the following entries.

<< "F:\" >>
null: "." "*.*"
<< "G:\" >>
null: "." "*.*"
<< "H:\" >>
null: "." "*.*"
<< "I:\" >>
null: "." "*.*"
<< "J:\" >>
null: "." "*.*"
<< "K:\" >>
null: "." "*.*"
<< "L:\" >>
null: "." "*.*"
<< "M:\" >>
null: "." "*.*"
<< "N:\" >>
null: "." "*.*"
<< "O:\" >>
null: "." "*.*"

I removed the one for N:. I do believe that might be the problem.

Thanks Shawn, I owe you lunch.

What about a file called networkr.cfg in the root of the NT servers C:
drive? This is created by Networker User when editing local directives.
Maybe it's excluding N:, etc.

When did N: stop being backed up, or has it never been backed up? Is it an
NT4 server or Win2K? If 2K has Change Journal been enabled for all drives?
