I'm not sure about DDS but I use AlphaStor and the licenses for that
relate to client access to shared drives. So, for 4 drives shared across
two clients I require 8 licenses (plus SAN storage nodes). Maybe DDS is
similar?

Yes, I want to share 2 drives with 2 DDS licenses across 3 hosts.

I don't understand why it asks for the addition DDS license.

You have to have one DDS license for each drive you intend to share. If
I properly understand your description of the problem you want to share
across 3 hosts but have only 2 DDS licenses. Itzik

Absolutely, yes I have three Storage Nodes for Windows licenses and
Autochanger Module.
