Try this.

Set the group to always do a full backup.
Set the "Force Incremental" field of the Group to "Yes".
In theory this field was designed to do precisely what you want to do.

I have a group backing up incremental every hour using the group
interval attribute.
Is there a way to have a one full during that day without setting up a
different group?
