What's wrong with it is that it quickly makes your configuration vastly
more complex. You will be plagued with niggly problems about why you
can't do backup X to drive Y on storage node Z etc. Also, at versions
<6.1.2 you cannot make any changes to pools unless your server is idle,
so any changes like adding drives require a quiescent system, very
inconvenient on all but the smallest of backup systems.
