If you have multiple names for your client ensure they are all listed in the
"aliases" field of your client. Also, ensure with nslookup that the
resolutions, forward and reverse match each other. I have found that even if
both resolutions are correct, if they don't match, NetWorker won't like it.

For example:

nslookup
>server1
>server1.group.yourcompany.com 10.10.10.10
>set type=ptr
>10.10.10.10
>server1.yourcompany.com


This wont work as the 2 FQDN's that are returned do not match, even though
both might be correct.

Charles,

In case you have not gotten any responses ... I had to create a file
in /nsr/res called "servers" with the fully qualified name of my
backup server.  I have been real happy with the OS X client --- it is
really fast as well.
