Hi Frank,

I would recommend using /dev/rmt/2cbn, i.e. enable hardware compression.
Although this has an effect on network traffic, because the data is
transferred uncompressed, we often attain capacities of 70+GB on 20/40GB
tapes in a DLT4000.
