We are running NetWorker 6.1.3 on a Dell PowerEdge 2650 with RedHat 7.2
(kernel 2.4.18-27.7.xsmp). We were using the 2.4.18-17.7.xsmp kernel when
we initially setup the box and were getting errors similar to the ones
you're getting now. Also, the machine would completely lock up on
occasion. We finally traced it to the Adaptec SCSI driver (aic7xxx). I
don't know if you have an Adaptec card in your box but, if you do, you may
want to try loading the older kernel module (/lib/modules/2.4.18-
17.7.x/kernel/drivers/scsi/aic7xxx_old.o) instead of the latest. We did
this and had great success - no more errors or lock-ups. A simple
modification of the /etc/modules.conf file is all it took.
