I would suspect the file was open or otherwise in use during the backup.
That would leave the potential for a file that is not recoverable.
Do you have other versions on tape to try?
Fairly easy to test if you can get access to the database for a while or at
least a working copy of it.

Is there anyone experiencing this strange problem with Networker,
NetWare and MS Access?
Our file server O/S is NetWare 6 and we are using eDirectory.
Networker server (v5.5) is on a Unix-AIX O/S.
There are instance that we get a request to restore a MS Access
database which almost 920 Mb is size. When the restore is done, we
cannot open the file, either it's corrupted or MS Access cannot
recognize it as a database.
