I am sure that during the move to the new hardware, your licenses have been
activated into grace mode. Go to your registration window, and doublecheck your
licenses.

If am right, the licenses would say that you have 14 days left.

You will only start seeing notices abt expriing licenses when you have about 11
days left. Well at least that is what my server did./

What a coincidence, I just upgraded my server yesterday. I moved a 6.1.2
instance on a Sun E250 Sol2.6 to a 6.1.3 instance on a Sun E450 Sol8. My
procedure went like this, I shutdown the 250, removed the GigE and dual
channel HVD cards and installed them into the 450 and attached the existing
libraries to the 450. Then I removed one of the /nsr mirror disks from the
250 and installed it in the 450. Then I did a reconfigure boot on the 450,
mounted the /nsr mirror on /nsr and started networker. I had to delete and
recreate the jukeboxes because the devices had changed but everything worked
well with no complaints about licensing. My final step after the dba's
complete testing will be to move over the remaining mirror and re-mirror
/nsr.

Is the host transfer affidavit something required for Legato support? Our
version is the rebranded version from Sun, Solstice Backup.

Thanks,
Vic
