Hi there
I dont if this has cropped up before on this list
We have a Tru64 networker 6.1.1 server with several W2K storage nodes and a
Compaq 5026 jukebox with 2 SDLT tape drives shared amongst them all.
The 2nd tape drive required replacement due to an increasing number of tape
errors occurring.
The drive swap happened - did a 'hwmgr -scan scsi' on the unix box to register
the new tape drive.
However , the W2K servers seem to have lost sight of the replacement drive. A
'Scan for new hardware'
has not fixed the problem. The 'inquire' command shows no file path for the
device .
Are there any procedures required for the W2K nodes to regain the link to the
new device.
Thanks.
