Hello Scott, thanks for your Help.

Let get a bit more deeper in my problem. When I started the backup from the
Exchange server GUI, I still have some error but it seem to work. The problem
is when I start the backup via the Networker Server (Unix Box) I am getting
the following errors:

I would like to know if my config is ok on the Networker Server Client ( Unix
Thru-64).

Save set: MSEXCH:MB
                MSEXCH:IS
                MSEXCH:PF

I created a directive of Skip files system backup of ExIFS.

The directive is as follow:

<< "M: " >>
        skip: *.*

Backup command:

nsrxchsv.exe

the following is the error I get from the Networker Server

/nsr/logs/daemon.log

Hello Sylvain,

This is a successful backup; you're all set.

The reference to the G: drive tells us where in our source that that
informational message coma from. So it is on our build system, not your system.

Thanks,
_Scott

Hello Scott, thanks for your input.
I restarted all the Microsoft Exchange process to see if the backup will
restart properly, but it did not, work so I had to reboot the exchange server.
After I started the backup via the Networker server and I noticed in the log
see bellow the following error

/Private Mailboxes/Verreault Alain 257 MB 1063476 bytes/second
[2836] /Private Mailboxes/Webmaster ESC 11 MB 896774 bytes/second

I do not have an G:\ drive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why that error ?

Do you have any idea ?

Other issue, I started the backup from the exchange server GUI every thing
seem to be OK, I send the log tomorrow !!

Thanks !!!!!

Hello Sylvain,

If the error message is identical, it suggests that you have missed the "Sent
Items" folder. The folder name appears at the very end of the string. (The
actual maximum subject length is somewhat shorter than 1024.)

About the mailbox: You're right, I had forgotten. The initial release of 3.1
failed to format the mailbox name correctly. The support organization has
updates that display this correctly, but you may easily see which mailbox is
disconnected by going into the Exchange Backup UI, select Private Mailboxes in
the left side, and scan for the user whose icon is red on the right.

Thanks,
_Scott

Thank Scoot for your answer I will look in to your recommendation.

For your last statement concerning mailbox is skip due to subject longer than
1024 bytes, for that user I deleted all E-mails and I still have the same
problem ?

How about the mailbox

/Private Mailboxes/Chamoun Manila 349 MB 1276317 bytes/second
[820] Exchange Mailbox mb_item is not connected to an Active Directory
user. It will be skipped.

Thanks!

Subject: RE: [Networker] Problem to Backup Mail Box on Exchange Server

Hello Sylvain,

Here are some pointers:

HRESULT 0x8007000e is an E_OUTOFMEMORY error. Exchange Server is a
notorious user of physical memory; the mailbox backup mechanisms
exacerbate the need for plenty of memory.

HRESULT 0x8004011d is MAPI_E_FAILONEPROVIDER. This is a more general
logon failure, most commonly associated with having the wrong logon
information, or with having inadequate security in Exchange Server or in
AD. Some Microsoft programs associate this with the text "Verify that
the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service is running and that you
have the correct permissions to log on. (0x8004011d)." Some ideas for
working around this may be found in Microsoft Knowledge Base article
Q322312. (For Exchange Server 5.5, there were known problems where the
Exchange Server would leak memory, providing a possible tie between
MAPI_E_FAILONEPROVIDER and E_OUTOFMEMORY, but if such a condition exists
in Exchange Server 2000, I have never seen it documented.)

HRESULT 0x80004005 is E_FAIL. This indicates tha an "unspecified
failure" has occurred. This status means that Exchange Server has
become so confused, that it no longer knows what status to try to
return.

All together, these seem to indicate that the Exchange Server has been
getting more and more confused, perhaps because of lack of memory. The
steps in Q322312 might help.

The error messages in your first backup show expected behaviour: we do
not save mailboxes which are not connected to a user (the mailbox is
skipped), nor messages which have subject lines longer than
approximately 1024 bytes (the message is skipped).

Thanks,
_Scott
