Hi Jana

We recently purchased a 16 slot autoloader which takes 2 x 8 slot
magazines. We bought the drive with just 1 magazine, so naively thought
our 1-9 slot autoloader licence would work fine (as did our supplier as
we asked them to confirm there wouldn't be any problems), but no, Legato
sees it as 16 slot and that's that.

However, we found the following 'fix' for our particular situation.

Basically, once Legato has recognised your jukebox (and complained when
you try to use it!), close down Networker and edit the 'nsrjb.res'
file.
The items that need editing are as follows...

available slots:
physical slots:
volume ids:
volumes:

The last two entries are comma seperated lists. In my case it was just
a matter of editing the 16 entries down to 8 and - voila! as they say.

Hope this helps... Allan.

Hi All-

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to run a (for example) 200 slot
jukebox
with a 64slot license (only using 64 slots)?
I am getting conflicting info on this. Server is Solaris 7.
Networker
version currently 6.1.2 but will be 7.?. for upgrade test.

Thanks in advance,

Jana Reid
