Hi Guy,

mmrecov only recover nsr.res and media database. u have the flexibility to
recover which clients indexes as what u want, it speeds up the recovery
process with nsrck -L7 client_name.
By issuing command nsrck -L7 client_name, u need the tape which store that
client indexes. This command will read from tape to rebuild client indexes
for u.

cheers..Happy recovery
Robert

Subject: [Networker] nsrck -L7 command.

Greetings,

I am running networker server 6.1.2 on AIX. Next week I will be doing a
disaster recovery exercise.
The manual now says to use the nsrck -L7 to recover the client indexes.
Where does it get that data
from?

In the past, I just used to recover the client indexes manually after the
mmrecov.

Thanks!
