Have you tried executing "rpcinfo -p $clientname" to determine if you can
see the active nsrexec process? The RPC service on those clients could be
down.
Also, change "ALL" to / or /tmp or some single value, then run the savegrp
command manually for that client using multiple v's for verbose error
checking. You may find a DNS issue that way. I have had clients that had
multiple aliases and we didn't find the alias until we forced a single
saveset instead of ALL and got the "client X is not a registered client"
error.

Hi List,
I recently (within the last two weeks) started seeing this issue with my
backups. As you can see, I have two clients (one is AIX 3.2, and the other
is SunOS) that send a message that All 4 retries attempted and all
conections
timed out.
Both machines can ping the server and vice versa (both by name and IP). I've
restarted Networker on all machines, and even rebooted...
Anyone have any ideas?
