Hi all,
Thought you might all like to know that I think this may now be solved.
The problem was that during a backup, Networker reported a tape as being
full, the drive was "writing, finding eom", and nothing more could be done
with the drive until it was power-cycled to eject the tape.
A week ago the HP LTOs were upgraded from firmware level E225 to E2A2 and
no problems since. It was occurring maybe twice a week.
