Hi Guys/Ladies,

I wonder if somebody can help me understand Networker better :)

When doing a restore from the GUI ,

after choosing files etc , then asking volume required, we get back 'UNKNOWN' .
If we do a saveset recover for the same time , it actually displays the volume 
required.

I thought intially there was mm database integrity problem but how would 
saveset recover work ?

Do both methods look up the media database in the mm folder ?

Sorry, if this query is not clear, I'm just trying understand the relationship 
between media database and file index
