It pays to read the documentation. The issues you experienced are documented
in the release supplement and the disaster recovery guide. If got caught
myself a few weeks ago, after being called in because the recovery didn't
work. While reading the RS later I found the mistake the operator had made
with the solution given.

Subject: [Networker] Win2000 server features not supported by Networker

Our US site completed a disaster recovery of a Windows 2000 server
recently, the data partitions were recovered and the three system save sets
were recovered as required, as a directed recover all together. The server
asked as it should to be rebooted, however the server was not able to boot
back, it crashed on the blue screen. At the time of the recover the Win
2000 server had service pack 1, information from Legato regarding this is
that Legato 6.2 does not support a few features for Windows 2000 including
directed recovery of System savesets.

This is in the 6.2 documentation, they recommend that service pack 2 be
used for Windows 2000.

Have any of you had an issues with this, were you aware of this?
