Absolutely! Let me guess, these are Seagate drives, right? These drives are
not compatible with many of the media brands out there. I have just been
looking for the link on Seagate's site, they now recommend only Seagate
cartridges, but last time I looked they also recommended Maxell and Fuji.
If pressed, STK will give you a recommendation, and that recommendation
will be only Maxell and Fuji. I don't think you'll find that on their web
site though, speak to your representative. I have personally seen serious
problems with 3 brands that I have tried (Imation wasn't one) but these
problems magically disappeared when I started using a mix of Maxell and
Fuji tapes.
