Hi Brent,

Yes I've seen exactly the problem you describe. I've seen it to an even
worse extent where a client index doesn't convert *at all* with no error
messages given. As far as I could make out (with extensive help from Legato
support) was that there was some form of corruption in the NetWorker 5.x
indexes which wasn't causing a problem to NetWorker 5.x but caused a problem
with the conversion to NetWorker 6.x. I was upgrading from NetWorker 5.5.3
to 6.1.1 directly on Solaris and Windows NT and saw the problem occasionally
on both platforms!

I'm struggling to remember the exact steps to fix this, I'm afraid, but I
think it was along the lines of:

Pre-upgrade:
    - run nsrck -F
    - run nsrck -m
    - run nsrck -c
    - run nsrim -X 3 times

Perform upgrade

Post-upgrade:
    - run nsrck -m
    - run nsrck -c
    - run nsrim -X 3 times
    - run nsrck -L7 on the affected client to recover and reconvert the
index.

I think it was the post-upgrade nsrck -c that was crucial in our case.
All should now be well with the problem clients.

Hope this helps!

Mark
