We didthat in that order. The error message keep saying te driver installation 
seems incorrect. i removed all the packages and added them again (the whole 
set).
Does anyone know of any problems with the drivers for solaris 7, do we need any 
patches or anything like that?
We have the storedge L280 with HP tapelibrary (C6280-7000)
I will check out the dip switches as well.

In order to configure the autochanger, the following packages must be installed
in the right order:

1) client package
2) drivers package
3) storage node package

If you are using this machine as a server, then the server package is
installed after
the storage node.

Also, what type of autochanger is it?  If it is an HP 1557 or similar, it
may require
dip switches on the bottom to be changed.
