Peter,

File-type devices are now licensed through the DiskBackup Option. Legally,
this license is now required to use file-type devices.

Subject: [Networker] Legato DiskBackup Option

Hello,

we plan to use IDE-RAID storage for backups with networker.
My understanding of doing this is: create file-type devices on the mounted
storage and optionally stage / clone the saves to tape.
What can DiskBackup do in that setup? Isn't everything needed already build
in the Networker Server?
Can someone please explain the value of the Legato DiskBackup Option?
Legatos Homepage is no help.

Regards
Peter
